Get Walking

With this blog I am going to try and help you off the COVID-19 couch.

So I know it’s easier for some than others, but I am 74 next birthday in April so no spring chicken. We have been in lockdown for far too long but unfortunately we still have to keep going. First things first, if you can get up and go out for a walk, do it, even if it’s just around the corner where you live you can do this because the government says it’s ‘o.k.’ You will feel much better being outside in the fresh air it will put a smile on your face and as you pass others out and about don’t be shy and put your head down as they walk past you, hold it up and just say good morning with a smile and 99% of the time you will get a smile back with a good morning. Now the first time you start don’t overdo it just remember at some point you will have to walk back home. But when you do get back inside in the warm just pop the kettle on and make a cupper sit back down on that old couch and I guarantee you will have a smile on your face. If you do this on a regular basis you will start to feel better and also start walking longer.

I will add suggestions of longer and more demanding walks as time goes on but just for now let’s get off that couch, it will make a difference.
